ARMED FORCES

     

       All colleges require an entrance exam and most will accept ACT or SAT or both.
You can also take the CPT (College Placement Test) to determine if you need remediation.
Remember!  Florida Bright Futures does not pay for remediation courses.
You MUST have an ACT, SAT or CPT to qualify for Florida Bright Futures.


Students must register for test.
You may pick up your registration packet in the
Guidance office or register online and print your admission ticket at:

OK, so they're actually just trying to sell you their stuff, but you can pick up some tips on test-taking strategies, boost your vocabulary, and find out how to work out some tricky math problems-all for free.
 

PowerPrep offers SAT prep classes, including a free weekly SAT Classroom.
 

Provided by Scholastic Testing Systems, Inc., this site offers almost 40 skill lessons to work on your math and verbal abilities.  Each lesson has a few SAT questions at no extra charge.

 

Head for this SAT prep site for test-taking tips, practice questions, and learn the 100 most common SAT vocabulary words.
 

Every day the good folks at Merriam-Webster post a new word of the day.   They provide a sentence and definition, along with a "Did you know" fact.  You can also look up previous words of the day and a "Words from the Lighter Side" website devoted to "cool" words.
